I am a "Nashville native" with a curious side: I am obsessed with making things better, and honestly it has gotten me in trouble from time to time! I love being around people, and trying to have a great time whatever the world throws at me.

I feel like I will find my true fit in the workplace when I feel challenged, appreciated, and when my coworkers feel like family.

Apprentice Software Developer at Nashville Software School

May 2016 – November 2016 Nashville, TN

NSS is an immersive Software Development Bootcamp where I acquired a broad yet deep range of knowledge and experience in 6 months. I have worked on many Front End applications using HTML, CSS, Javascript, and AngularJS. I’ve built web apps using Bootstrap and Materialize and have deployed sites with Firebase and Heroku. Through many individual and group projects I’ve learned about project management, planning, whiteboarding, and wireframing. Communication was critical within our group projects where we used Slack, email, and GitHub to keep the team in the loop and on track. I have worked hard to learn more about problem solving and the logic needed to work through the many exercises, projects, and inevitable "bugs.” I also learned how Test Driven Development can qualify, minimize, and educate your next steps, and how to create servers and RESTful API’s using NodeJS with Express to deliver content created.

Professional Development UX and UI at Nashville Software School

January 2016 – April 2016 Nashville, TN

Completed an intensive UX & UI Professional Development course at Nashville Software School (NSS) (UI & UX for Digital Product Design). Over the 13 sessions spread out over three months, we ran the gamut of User Experience and User Interaction practices. We collaborated and debated. We defined and refined. We interviewed and assessed. We learned the benefits of low fidelity prototyping and then transitioned our users feedback and multiple iterations into high fidelity models and proofs of concept. We grew even more fond and familiar with our new best friend; the Post-It Note. We even dipped our toes in front-end development.

Here’s my story:
